26th State: North Carolina (Nov. 10, 2010)

Finally, I got to kayak with another Vandweller member, Judith.  What fun that was.  Got to help her assemble her new inflatable kayak and we were off to a nearby lake, I forgot the name of it.

On the way there a “serious” box-dweller passed me.  Look at that.

We saw so many Great Blue Herons, we lost track of the count.

25th State: Virginia (Nov. 5, 2010)

I think this was one of my more fun paddles.  Crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel was first off… exciting to say the least.  The gull pictures were taken at some halfway point where you could stop and get out of the van… I think at the tunnel entrance.

In Aug 2013, I kayaked my 49th state, Alaska, at the Holgate Glacier and in May 2014, I kayaked Hawaii, my 50th state, to celebrate my 70th Birthday and the finale to the wonderful adventure of Kayaking America.
