16th State Paddle–New Hampshire (Oct. 6, 2010)

I had intended to meet up with another Vandweller in Vermont and kayak at a lake near her, but after driving out of my way to her place, I found she was sick and I had to high tail it back to civilization before dark as there was no LEVEL spot to park my rig in her vicinity.  I made it back to Wal-Mart just before dark.  I decided to push on the next day to New Hampshire and kayak there and do Vermont at some later date.

Oh my gosh, was I ever enjoying the old landscape, stone walls, old cemeteries, old building, bridges, etc.  Amazing. Everyone should see New England at least once in a life time and in the Fall of the year at that.  I’ll have to add the text later when I find my notes.  I did see a beaver lodge on my NH kayak paddle… but don’t even remember now (July 2011) where I paddled in NH.

In Aug 2013, I kayaked my 49th state, Alaska, at the Holgate Glacier and in May 2014, I kayaked Hawaii, my 50th state, to celebrate my 70th Birthday and the finale to the wonderful adventure of Kayaking America? Next up... Solo Hiking the Arizona Trail, 820 miles in Spring 2017. In training now for the hike.
